how to play against a match/player in a database
Starting from version 2.5.0.0, you can now play against any match/player in a Darts for Windows database. Download databases from www.dartsforwindows.com, from the Downloads menu in Darts for Windows or use your own databases to play against your own legs. I have personally played against all the legs from Lakeside 2008. It was really fun to play against real scores... :)
Here is how you start....
Click the File menu and then click the item "New match" as showed in the picture below.
Configure the gameformat, select the players (I have a separate player named
Computer Player) and then click the "Play against match or players" button.
In this sample I have set the game format to best of unlimited sets, 5 legs pr. set, but
you can set it to whatever you like (for example, best of unlimited (zero) legs).
Browse to the database containing the match/matches/player/players you want to play against
and click the database to open. In this sample
I will use the Ladbrokes 2014 database.
All the matches are now listed in the grid. You now have the option to pick the left, right
or both players. I do recommend checking the "All" checkbox. It is a lot more fun to play against
all the legs in the database. All legs are randomized so you will never know what leg comes next.
You will see the name of the player you are playing against (the name may of course change
from leg to leg). If you manage to play against all the legs in the database, the legs are randomized
again so you can go on and play the database forever :)
Click "Start" to start the match....
Game on....
Showing who you play against...
To stop the autoplay, doubleclick the "Autoplay ON" button.
